from 1970 studies of architecture in Innsbruck, 2 years working and studying in England
from 1980 own architectural office in Feldkirch / Vorarlberg
Ecological aspects in Architecture from town planning scale into detail, avoiding sick building syndromes as well as economic construction methods by radical prefabrication were key issues of the office since it started. From 1984 specializing in extremely energy efficient architecture and building of ´controlled experimental´ innovative strategies in practice
The office has finished altogether more than 100 projects in different scales, new buildings as well as renovations, housing projects, farmhouses, school renovations, office- and industrial buildings as well as interior design.
from 1995 workshops at different Universities like London, Aachen, KTH Stockholm, Tallin, Bologna, Vienna, Mackintosh School of Architecture / Glasgow 2003 und 2004, Skopje, Ljubljana, Kiew, Tokyo, Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger etc.
1994 - 2004 lecturer (Docent) for design, building construction and ecological building methods at the University of Liechtenstein
from 2005 lecturer at the Kunstuniversität Linz / Austria (Linz University of Arts) for
the design of wooden buildings and wooden constructions
2006 visiting professor at the school of Architecture in Ljubljana / Slovenia
from 2007 professor at the Aarhus School of Architecture

From 2007 part of the preparation team for UMA, since 2010 professor at the Umea School of Architecture, responsible for the master course ´laboratory for sustainable architectural production´

1988 first Solar school in Austria with Hermann Kaufmann and Sture Larsen after winning the competition.
1988 Ecological low energy low cost housing for 11 families in planning participation
1989 Prefabricated Industrial Building ´Schweizer und Pilger´
1991 10 month studies in New Zealand
From 1991 refining prefabrication methods of individual wooden buildings
1992 first prefabricated house in Dornbirn made of plywood
1993 detached house with 2 flats in Koblach - built in 10 weeks
1994 construction of the first house in Austria with a window solar collector
1996 Solar Architecture Award of Vorarlberg for the cardboard houses in Bregenz
1997 Solar Architecture Award of Vorarlberg for the passive houses in Batschuns as the first terraced passive houses in Austria
1997 Architecture Award of the Austrian Architectural Union for the cardboard houses in Bregenz
1998 Wooden Architecture award of Vorarlberg for the animal hospital with a flat in Lauterach – massive wooden structure with cardboard façade
1998 first price of the competition for a industrial building ´Lot Holzbau´ - built as an experimental and extremely low cost factory
1999 Wooden Architecture award of Vorarlberg for 3 flats in Feldkirch (Wachter / Schennach / Schennach). Low cost passive house flats, highly prefabricated
1999 Winner of the open competition Bus Terminal and Office building in Feldkirch together with Markus Gohm and Ulf Hiesberger
2000 – now Architect and consultant for several energy efficient projects in Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, Norway and Scotland
2001 2 State Awards `Haus der Zukunft` (future houses) - for the passive houses in Batschuns and the 3 flats in Feldkirch (Wachter / Schennach / Schennach)
2002 Wooden Architecture award for Lot factory
2002 Construction of the first certified office building as passive house in Austria ´ Fa. Schlossgangl´ in Steyr / Upper Austria
2003 Award of Solar Architecture for ´Fa. Schlossgangl´ in Steyr – as well as Austrian Solar Globe
2003 Wooden Architecture Award of Upper Austria for the passive house office building ´Fa. Schlossgangl´ in Steyr
2003 2 Wooden Architecture Awards in Vorarlberg for the 5 passive houses in Klaus and the prefabricated passive house in Satteins with polycarbon facade
2004 Finalist of the competition for 200 passive house flats in Vienna
2004 Construction of 2 prefabricated low cost passive houses with textile facades
2005 Finish of 2 experimental massive wooden projects: a passive house in difficult topography and an extreme low cost private school building
2006 Wooden Architecture Award for zero energy house at average building costs in Feldkirch / Austria
2009 1st prize in competition of urban retrofitting in Amberg/Germany. Being built at the moment, phase 1 finished in autumn 2011
